Primark Haul

Hello Everyone!

Hope you are all doing great, only one more day until the weekend! As Wednesday is my hubby's day off it is usually a day we spend together whether its shopping, going for lunch or working out, yesterday we did all three!I have only started weight training again and believe me when I say I CANNOT move today!

Whilst in Glasgow yesterday I nipped into the huge Primark there as I haven't been there in a while and I was needing a Primark fix!! I mooched around the accessories section and was blown away by their jewellery range, I am loving fine, delicate jewellery right now and they had lots of beautiful pieces. Here is what I got...

You cannot have too many pretty studs for every day wear, I love these, I am a stickler for wearing silver with silver and gold with gold so I like to have variety! CZ Squares/ £2. Gold Balls/ £1

Loving these delicate chokers, they have adjustable lengths so you can wear them altogether at different lengths for that cool multi layered look that's in right now. £3.

Of course you can wear them alone also.

I also got these midi rings, they are so pretty! £2

Lovely on, apologies for the nails they are badly needing done!

How beautiful are these?? They look so much more expensive than their £3 pricetag!

Mixing it up with my Cartier bangle.

I also picked up this stunning pastel blue clutch it also has a chain shoulder strap so it will work really well for daytime also. Again, it looks so much pricier than its £6 price tag!

I also picked up this boat neck striped top which I love, I will wear it with dark denims rolled up at the ankle with a stiletto shoe for a sexy beatnik look. £6.

Not forgetting my little princess, I also picked up these in the sale from the kids section.

I just love this crochet detail top and I really love lemon and white on little girls for spring, we are spending Easter in Tuscany so I will put this by for then, I hope to pick up either lemon or white jeans to match. This top was only £3!!

Seriously, how cute are these?? I wish they came in adult size! These little pumps were only £4! My leopard print obsession has rubbed off on my daughter, she loves them.

What do you think of my Primark purchases? Do you love a Primark spree like me?

Dont forget to comment below,

Lots of love,

Sarah.

The best high-street foundations!

Hello gorgeous ones!

Friday is here, hope you all have an amazing weekend!

As a makeup Artist I have a vast array of foundations from all different brands in my kit. Some expensive from your well known luxury brands, MAC, Laura Mercier, Armani etc. But I also have a love for high street cosmetic brands also, I believe that with a bit of research and testing different formulas you can find just as good quality from your local drugstore.

Here are my top 3 drugstore foundations that I have been using both personally and on clients.

1.

Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation
Max Factor Skin Luminizer Foundation is infused with subtle skin luminizers, offers the perfect combination of radiance and coverage. £11.99
am in love with this foundation right now and after discovering it mere weeks ago I am already on my second bottle! It leaves a dewy finish without being shiny and has build able coverage. It's perfect for dry skin as its really creamy but not so much that it wouldn't suit normal/combination skin with a touch of powder. This has been my foundation of choice for my recent brides who want a glowing look while still having good coverage.

2.Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

A fabulous foundation for the price! Does what it says on the bottle and really does awaken your complexion, this product has more of a fluid formulation so therefore may not be perfect for those prone to oily skin. My skin is quite dry and I found it left a gorgeous dewy glow that lasts all day with a great coverage. Super drug were doing an offer where this foundation was £5.99 a bargain for this kind of product!

Gives instant flawless, natural looking finish, Wake Up & Glow! £8.99

3. Revlon Photo Ready Foundation

This Oil Free Foundation diffuses light to give the appearance of flawless skin. This foundation has been tested to provide flawless coverage under the harshest of lighting. As this foundation is Oil Free it's perfect for those with oily skin or those wanting a full coverage foundation, again this is a great one for brides as it looks totally amazing on camera. What's great about this product also is that it contains a high SPF of 20. £12.99

Do you like the look of these foundations? Will you be trying any.

Love

Sarah.

Golden Globes Fashion Faves and Fails!

VBest Dressed
Oh JLo!! Can you do no wrong?? In my eyes she is the Queen of the red carpet and she doesn't fail to live up to her title in this Zuhair Murad beaded gown. Her bombshell hair and makeup finish the look perfectly.

I just adore the cut and shade of this powder blue gown, against Amy Adams' red hair,it's stunning. Her luminous fresh skin and nude makeup give the overall look an angelic soft feel.

Smokin hot!! Kate Hudson is rocking this Versace number, Versace was prominent on the red carpet and I loved every piece but this dress should win an award all on its own! Kate's body is insane! Obviously a very sexy dress, The right decision is made to keep hair and makeup understated.

Not So Much...

I love Melissa Mcarthy so I feel bad having her on my worst dressed list. However this dress is awful. Apparently it's a blouse and the skirt is from another dress and the two have been sewn together... A+ for creativity and thinking outside the box but really?? All the designers in the world and then this?  On a positive note her hair and makeup are gorgeous, loving the deep berry lip.

I am just not getting this Vera Wang number on Rosamund Pike.. I find it I'll fitting and a totally wrong shape for her figure. Her hair and makeup are divine though and she looks glowing.

I actually love this Alexander McQueen dress but I think it's all wrong for 2 reasons. Firstly I think it's a tad bridal looking and the hair and makeup add to that bridal feel, secondly it's totally over accessorised!! A cuff, rings, a belt, a bag, chandelier earrings and a flower in her hair?? With a big gown this is total overkill for me which is a shame as its a beautiful dress.

Who is your and who's look are you not really feeling?

Love,

Sarah.

January Healthy Eating Plan:Day 1

Hi all!

First let me wish you all a very Happy New Year I really hope 2015 is everything you wish and dream of.

So, after a very indulgent few weeks I have decided that I really need to cut down on alcohol, eat healthily and exercise more. I am by no means embarking on any extreme form of diet, Just choosing my meals more carefully and including lots of fruit and vegetables in my daily meals. I had the idea that if I blog daily and maybe share my daily diet with my readers, hopefully with your feedback it will keep me on the right track, and in turn I will help to motivate you guys also! We are in it together ladies!!

I started on Monday as for me this was my 1st of January.... Ok, so I cheated, but it was the weekend and I still had alot on and... well I just decided Monday would be MY first of January!

I am a day behind so I will post yesterdays meals today and today's meals tonight to get me up to date. I would greatly appreciate your comments and feedback.

DAY 1

BREAKFAST

2 slices of polish rye bread, with low fat butter, cup of tea and small glass of orange juice.

I am not one of these girls who can go carb free!! It makes me a tad crazy.. So instead I have switched to yeast free polish rye bread, its extremely good for those wishing to avoid wheat but still enjoy a sandwich! Its extremely high in fibre also and very low fat. it has a moist, rich flavour. Best of all it does not cause blood sugar to spike which is linked to weight gain.

LUNCH

Small tin of tuna, drained and a banana with a bottle of water

Bananas are one of my favorite fruits, they have to be fresh though so I like to buy them a tad green, this is just a personal preference. I love the small tins of tuna also as they are quick and easy and provide a high protein hit, a dash of salt and pepper and right from the tin is the way I roll!

DINNER

Homemade turkey burger with lots of salad and sweet potato fries.

This is one of my fave eat clean meals and a super healthy take on burger and chips and lets face it, on a Monday we all enjoy a bit of comfort food.

Its super easy to make and very tasty! Here's how I make it. Place a packet of turkey mince (thigh mince is a tad tastier) in a bowl with a good pinch of paprika, garlic, chilli flakes, dried parsely, tarragon and a good sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix all together thoroughly, make burger patties out of even quantities of mince mixture, I usually get 4 burgers, and set aside in the fridge for 15 mins to chill whilst peeling and dicing your sweet potato. I popped the potato in the oven at 180 degrees for bout 25 min with a drizzle of olive oil and salt and pepper. Whilst these are cooking I cooked the burgers with my George Foreman grill and served them altogether with a fresh crisp salad, yum!!

In the evening I had to have a treat so had a mini caramel bar with a cup of tea... im slowly easing myself in. I walked alot yesterday and drank alot of water too so a wee treat cant do too much damage!

What do you think of my first healthy eating plan?

Have you gained any new ideas?

Lots of love,

Sarah.
