One Playsuit 3 Ways!

Packing for holidays can be stressful, it's hard to know exactly what to bring and determining which outfits to wear where. Often, amidst the packing confusion we arrive to our location finding that we have packed far too much but somehow still have 'nothing to wear'... My tip to avoid this happening is to pack good quality versatile pieces that will take you from beach to bar with a few simple tweaks.

This playsuit from Asos is super figure flattering with a nipped in waist and long wide sleeves, perfect for the arm conscious, it's also in the ever versatile blank canvas that is soft denim.

With the right accessories this gorgeous piece can be reworked and reworn, creating three separate looks!

Exploring the sights? Shopping? Lunching? Whatever it is you choose to get up to on your day out abroad you will be sure to look chic but comfy.

Do you have your eye on the cute waiter? Dress to impress by upping the glam factor with some bold accessories and you will be sitting pretty at the bar!

Remove the denim tie at the waist and replace it with this gorgeous gold metallic belt from Boohoo, the glitzy wedges from River Island and this statement jewelled necklace from accessorize will look gorgeous!

Beach Day/Cover Up

One too many cocktails last night? Need something easy to throw over your bikini,a playsuit is a fab cover up and easy to get in and out of, add a floppy hat and flip flops and your ready to hit the beach!

Bake/Contour/Strobe for amazing skin!

There are so many techniques flying about to achieve professional makeup results, originally the contouring craze took over thanks to Kim Kardashian and social media but now we are hearing of 'baking' and 'strobing'. I used these three techniques today, here are the products I used to achieve flawless skin!

Firstly I applied an aloe Vera gel, moisturiser then Rimmels Wake me up foundation, then I applied a layer of my camouflage concealer from my line, I allowed that to sit on my skin for a few minutes before I blended it seamlessly setting it with Laura Mercier Setting Powder, this process is called 'baking' where you layer the products allowing them to sit on the skin for a while to 'cook' this ensures a gorgeously flawless finish and adds highlight and dimension.
I used this method under my eyes, along the bridge of my nose and my chin.

Next I used the Makeup Revolution palette to contour using the matte bronze shade.

I like to use a small domed fluffy brush to keep the application precise.

I apply this under my cheekbones, down the sides of my nose and around my hair line...

Finally the 'strobing' bit, this really is just a fancy word for highlighting,I used the lightest shade in the makeup revolution palette down the bridge of my nose, the corners of my eyes, cupids bow and tops of my cheeks.

Lastly I filled in my brows applied some mascara and lipgloss for a fresh flawless look, perfect for a Sunday.. What do you think? Would you try these techniques?

The key to this look is blend, blend, blend!!

Don't forget to comment!!

Birthday/Anniversary Outfit

Thought I would show you a wee summery outfit I wore last night, for my 3rd wedding anniversary and my little girls 6th Birthday! We got married on her 3rd birthday and I can't believe how time flies!!

Summers 3rd Birthday at our wedding..

We got married in Florence and I wish I could do it all over again!!

Any way, I was spoiled by my hubby and got a replica bouquet from our wedding day centrepieces! So sweet,

I was delighted when these arrived!

I also got a beautiful necklace with a little diamond for each year!

We just went to Frankie and Bennys and then to see the new Minions Movie, we will celebrate our wedding anniversary properly this weekend as we wanted Summer to enjoy her birthday.

Here is what I wore..

Would you believe this dress is £5 from Primark! I just love the colour! I decided to colour pop a bit and added fuchsia accessories, the bag is parfois and the shoes are from a boutique in Portugal.

Me and the gorgeous birthday girl were kinda matching!!

It really was a lovely night, can't believe I have a six year old!! ❤️

Wednesday OOTD

Hello lovelies!!

We are half way through the week, thankfully! On a Wednesday my hubby has a half day from work so we usually go for lunch or take a trip into Glasgow, today we did both.

Here's what I wore...

Jacket and Top/ Primark
Boyfriend Jeans/ F&F @ Tesco

I also tied this Leopard print scarf from Primark around my head as a head band!

There's a lot of leopard lovin goin on! I love adding print to an otherwise simple jeans and tee combo, I rolled up the cuffs of these boyfriend jeans to show a cheeky bit of ankle!!

We went for lunch to Soho on Miller Street in Glasgow.

I got arincini to start...

I was a bit disappointed when they came as they were freezing cold in the middle, but they apologised profusely and replaced them with an extra ball!

Next I had a Turkey Club Baguette which was nice but there was a slight mayo overload! My hubby got the pizza and it was yum!!

The cocktails were delicious also, I got a lemon concoction which was lovely.

Cheers! Have a great Wednesday!

Summer is well and truly upon us and whether you are jetting off abroad or staycationing at home, you still need to rock some summer style!

Here are my top Primark picks!

I am simply loving this quirky bag which looks way more expensive than it £12 price tag! Wear as a cross body bag to jazz up a simple jeans and tee outfit.

Summer wouldn't be Summer without a pair of denim cut offs! Dress them up with wedges, dress them down with trainers, pair with tights when it gets chilly, a must have versatile piece, £10.

These watercolour floral print pumps are just divine! Add a summery twist to jeans or wear them with an LBD for a pop of colour! £14.

I am truly loving this neon embroidered kimono, another multi wearable piece, use as a beach cover up, or wear with denim cut offs and boots for festival vibes.£16.

Keep hair off your face whilst at the pool with this gorgeous beaded headband, it will add colour and style to any look! £6.

A day to night dress for a fiver?? Wow! This little cotton sun dress is comfortable enough for sightseeing during the day with flats to enjoying refreshments at the bar with wedges and hold accessories!

Loving this tribal inspired statement necklace, rock an avant garde look by the pool and wear with your swimsuit! £8.

Makeup Revolution

Hey lovelies!!

I recently came across Makeup Revolution in Superdrug. Attracted by the sleek packaging and wide product range in an array of colours I picked up a few products, here is what I got...

I picked up two eyeshadow palettes, a lippie, concealer palette and a face primer.

I love the eyeshadow palettes which were great value at £4! The pigment is good, some more pigmented than others in a mix of matte and shimmery textures, here I am wearing some of the more neutral shades,

The concealer palette is really creamy which leads to quite a blend able application for a seamless finish. I got the shade Medium/Light I would say the coverage is light/medium maybe not perfect for extreme coverage but great to  subtly even out skin tone.

The lipsticks are super quality at only £1 each!!!
I picked up this gorgeous mauve-y pink shade.

The primer is silky soft, it blends seamlessly into the skin, leaving a silky soft matte finish and creating a perfect base for foundation.

Overall I would say I am pretty impressed with this brand, it's not the highest quality product line I've tried but in terms of selection and price it's great value for money.

Autograph (M&S) Tan Review

The other day whilst on a shopping trip to Glasgow I came across the new M&S tan from their autograph range, I'm a bit of a tan-aholic so I decided to try it plus the description 'velvet touch lotion' appealed to me, I chose the medium to dark shade.

This is me before application.... So very pale!

Ok so speaking of the application I found the consistency really thick and this made it quite difficult to spread so you needed to use quite a lot to get an even blend. The guide colour was a nice golden brown and it smelled really pleasant, no biscuit tan smell!

Here is me after application..

Legs after application.

Yesterday I didn't look particularly glam as I only worked from home and then went to the gym, so you can see what it looks like after being washed off, (I truly was not glam, especially since I accidentally put my training leggings on inside out!!)
I have to say I wasn't overly impressed with this tan, it washed off to leave a medium golden tan which surprised me as the consistency was so thick and dark, I wouldn't say the tan develops deeper, you are pretty much left with the guide colour, I like my tan quite dark so this is why I was a little disappointed. However, it smells great snd really did wash off to leave an even tan, also, it was a great price and M&S have 20% off their tanning range right now so I got it for £6 something, I would probably give this tan 6/10.

What tan do you swear by? Comment below!
