BRITS FASHION LOWDOWN

The 2016 Brit Awards took place last night with the who’s who of the music industry out in force to show us what they got. Little Mix weren’t the only ones who took part in the pick n’ mix of fashion. From full on glamour to questionable hats there was definitely a jumble of style on the red carpet.

Here are the styles that really stood out for me…

LITTLE MIX

Trousers,skirts,dresses,jackets,lingerie. It was a mixed up look for the girls, the only thing that pulled this together was the colour palette but it was too mish mashed for me…

ADELE

I am a HUGE Adele fan and in my eyes she really can do no wrong, however this girls body is amazing! You could see underneath all those flounces and ruffles hides a bangin Jessica-Rabbit-esque body. Her hair and make up though were simply flawless!

CHERYL

Lets face it, she could wear a tracksuit on the red carpet and still look absolutely amazing. I got a varied response from my social media platforms with this one, half of you said she looked amazing (which she does) but half also said nay to the dress. I’m sure this dress could look amazing but somehow I think the styling lets it down, the metallic silver sandal looks garish against the pale yellow and the hair and make up just don’t fit with the overall look. In fact speaking of the hair, combined with her shade of choice she almost looks like a modern day Belle from Beauty&The Beast.

All this aside though she was simply glowing and looked really happy despite her recent marriage split.

Oh dear, and this is just of course my opinion but this look really wasn’t work work work work working for me. The length,the fit everything just didn’t scream FIERCE which Fenty herself is usually the queen of. Dare I say it reminded me of a lovely lady going to dinner on a cruise ship??

Hair and make up though? She werk werk werk werk werked it! (Ok I’ll stop..)

Why the hat Kylie? Why? This dress was so perfect for her, lets face it, she’s like a little doll brought to life so this pretty prom party dress was a perfect choice but its like she put it on and her stylist went “how can we make this totally gorgeous little party dress ‘edgy’ ? I know lets add a hat and some green satin shoes!” Kudos to Kylie for still looking super cute though.

One Playsuit 3 Ways!

Packing for holidays can be stressful, it's hard to know exactly what to bring and determining which outfits to wear where. Do you have your eye on the cute waiter? Dress to impress by upping the glam factor with some bold accessories and you will be sitting pretty at the bar! 

Remove the denim tie at the waist and replace it with this gorgeous gold metallic belt from Boohoo, the glitzy wedges from River Island and this statement jewelled necklace from accessorize will look gorgeous! 

Beach Day/Cover Up

One too many cocktails last night? Need something easy to throw over your bikini,a playsuit is a fab cover up and easy to get in and out of, add a floppy hat and flip flops and your ready to hit the beach!

VBest Dressed

Oh JLo!! Can you do no wrong?? In my eyes she is the Queen of the red carpet and she doesn't fail to live up to her title in this Zuhair Murad beaded gown. Her bombshell hair and makeup finish the look perfectly. 

 I just adore the cut and shade of this powder blue gown, against Amy Adams' red hair,it's stunning. Her luminous fresh skin and nude makeup give the overall look an angelic soft feel.

Smokin hot!! Kate Hudson is rocking this Versace number, Versace was prominent on the red carpet and I loved every piece but this dress should win an award all on its own! Kate's body is insane! Obviously a very sexy dress, The right decision is made to keep hair and makeup understated.

Not So Much...

I love Melissa Mcarthy so I feel bad having her on my worst dressed list. However this dress is awful. Apparently it's a blouse and the skirt is from another dress and the two have been sewn together... A+ for creativity and thinking outside the box but really?? All the designers in the world and then this?  On a positive note her hair and makeup are gorgeous, loving the deep berry lip. 

I am just not getting this Vera Wang number on Rosamund Pike.. I find it I'll fitting and a totally wrong shape for her figure. Her hair and makeup are divine though and she looks glowing.

I actually love this Alexander McQueen dress but I think it's all wrong for 2 reasons. Firstly I think it's a tad bridal looking and the hair and makeup add to that bridal feel, secondly it's totally over accessorised!! A cuff, rings, a belt, a bag, chandelier earrings and a flower in her hair?? With a big gown this is total overkill for me which is a shame as its a beautiful dress.
